The world is your oyster and every city is your escape room! That is how the saying goes, isn’t it? If not, it should be, because it couldn’t be closer to the truth! The Mystery Towns Tour game is an adventure of a lifetime masquerading as just another app.
By downloading MTT you’re kind of opening the door between real-world experience and a James Bond movie. It’s basically where the Amazing Race meets HASBRO boardgame meets The Locked Room, turning cities across Canada into a playground. Every tour simulates an elaborate mission that you’ll have to complete by solving clues and collecting information via phone or text. How very future-forward of them.
Each experience is pretty flexible, typically tailored to the amount of time you’ve got and the difficulty you’re most comfortable with. Only got an hour to burn? No problem. Have an entire day to blow? Sure!

The different adventures range from $59 to $99 per team, which are recommended to include two to four people, and you can start them whenever you’d like within their set time window. The Mystery Towns Tour app is available in Canmore, Calgary, Edmonton, and Fort McMurray. Not bad, AB.
These guys continue to add new and more exciting adventures all the time, so it’s worth checking out even more than once. We’ve always wanted to live out Clue without the threat of a candlestick in the conservatory anyway, so we’re all sorts of into this. You can take the player out of the boardgame, but you can’t take the Colonel Mustard out of the player! Catch us with a monocle running through the airport.
