Rental of the Week: Concrete everything in an East Village loft

Happy humpday, Calgary! Let’s just jump right into it, shall we? This Curiocity Calgary Rental of the Week is a unique, furnished, loft-style apartment in the colourful INK by Battistella building. This concrete cutie is kind of a breath of fresh air, honestly! It’s funky, reasonably priced and it’s in a building we haven’t covered before!
CALGARY RENTAL OF THE WEEK
The apartment itself is only 478 square feet, so it’s important to remember those good things come in small packages. This one-bedroom plus den, one-bathroom is ultra-contemporary, with 9-foot exposed ceilings and polished matte cement tiling.
The floor to ceiling windows with southern exposure are probably the only feature holding this place back from going full Alcatraz prison cell, but we’re into it. It’s kind of cold, but in the coolest way. Ha.
The kitchen has beautiful quartz countertops, modern cabinetry and new fancy stainless steel appliances. The dining area opens into the living room, which is surprisingly spacious. It looks outward on to a balcony almost the size of the suite itself.
The bedroom is comfortable and the den is just big enough for a small bed, which is nice. Typically dens are hardly large enough to store anything at all, so we’re kind of shocked.
In addition to being in the East Village, which has everything you could possibly want within walking distance, the building is also loaded with amenities and extras. We dig extras.
