Calgary is hosting a huge festival dedicated to Caesars!

We’re really trying not to freak out, but honestly, we’re slipping. We’ve seen a lot of events come and go, but this one is something special. Get ready Calgary, because a freaking Caesar festival is coming!
This event will celebrate what is basically the perfect cocktail. Let’s look at the facts- it’s basically tomato soup in a glass, usually served with pickled something and/or a slice of grilled cheese, and above all else, it was invented right here in YYC! What’s not to love?
Caesarfest kicks off on Thursday, May 14th at the Stampede grounds, where ticket holders will be in for an evening of cocktail taste testing, voting and mingling with fellow Caesar-thusiasts.
Unfortunately, this particular evening sold out in a matter of what felt like hours, but you’re in luck! Because this event took off, Caesarfest YYC has decided to add more tickets! They aren’t on sale quite yet, but you can join the waitlist on their website here.

If you’re unable to get tickets, don’t worry! The real fun begins Friday, May 15th. Whether you’re rallying from the night before or fresh-faced and starry-eyed, all Calgarians can check out participating restaurants and order a one-of-a-kind, exclusive Caesarfest creations.
Yeah, it’s going to be a delicious week, but there is a lot more to it than that. As we said, this event is special!
We hope you’re thirsty because this event is actually for a good cause! A portion of the proceeds from every cocktail sold will actually go towards an organization of their choice, so you can sip in good conscience. Tasty, tasty conscience.
Now, if you excuse us, we have a festival to prepare for. Bring on the Tabasco and Advil, we have charity work to do.
