This one-day winter festival in Calgary’s Beltline is as Canadian as it gets
The sun is out and the snow is melting. Winter has flown by, hasn’t it? In just a few weeks, we’ll all be on our iced coffees and tan lines. At least, that’s the energy we’re chanelling. On February 15th, make the most of what little chill we have left at the 2020 Beltline Bonspiel!
If you’ve never been to the Beltline Bonspiel, you’re in for a treat. This festival is one polar bear shy of the stereotypical perfect Canadian winter’s day.

This single-day event will have Alberta-based entertainment, a rinkside beer garden where you can watch local curling teams and drink local craft beers, fire pits, food trucks, scruffy-looking dudes in plaid, snow and ice. We’d recommend watching your step!
To pull this off, the Beltline has recruited some Calgary favourites, like Inner City Brewing and Last Best Brewing and Distilling, who will be tending the bar. Aslo, expect the Perogy Boyz, who will keep you fed and probably longing for more, and CJSW 90.9 FM and PK Sound, who will keep you on your feet and dancing.
This event is free to attend and falls on the long weekend, so there’s really no reason you can’t stop by if you’re in the city! Enjoy the season while it lasts, Calgary. You might just miss this when it’s +30… if you’re crazy.
