Get your sweet tooth satisfied at YYC Hot Chocolate Fest 2020
We hope your whipped cream is locked and loaded because Calgary’s sweetest festival is just around the corner. February 1st marks the first day of YYC Hot Chocolate Fest 2020!
For an entire month every winter, several participating businesses around the city craft their very best version of everyone’s favourite seasonal drink in hopes of winning a coveted title.
During the festival, Calgarians will get to vote for their favourite entry. Titles include Best Hot Chocolate and Best Spirited Hot Chocolate. They’ll also be in the running to win the Cup That Runneth Over award. What an honour!

This competition gets wild, guys. We’ve seen some pretty crazy creations come out of HCF, but it’s not all just about sprinkles and syrups. It’s also about doing some good!
A portion of proceeds during YYC Hot Chocolate Fest will go towards supporting the event organizers Calgary Meals on Wheels, an organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals to those in need.
A list of the participating cafes, restaurants, and chocolatiers has not been revealed yet, but we will keep you updated!
We’ve got our eyes and our saliva all over this one, trust us.
