Rental of the Week: A futuristic submarine-style home in Bridgeland
Sometimes, though not very often, while scouring the market for a ROTW we’ll stumble across something that makes us do several takes. In a city where everything is pretty uniform, our pick for this Curiocity Calgary Rental of the Week really asserts its presence.
This time around, we’ve got what we can only describe as an L.A. style underwater spacestation with impeccably kept landscaping in the heart of Bridgeland. We know, that’s a lot to digest there. Let’s check her out, shall we?
CALGARY RENTAL OF THE WEEK
This 1,000 square foot 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condo is honestly kind of polarizing, but it comes locked and loaded with all furniture, utilities, cable, wifi, and even Netflix! You may have your reservations about the futuristic appearance, but to us, it almost sounds too good to be true.
If the architectural design doesn’t do it for you, the location might. In only 20 minutes, walk downtown. In 10, be at the train station. In 15 minutes, drive to the airport. Sold yet?

The living spaces are comfortably sized, with 9-foot ceilings and incredible features. One of these is in-floor heating throughout. At this point, the house could fall from the sky, land on us, and we’d say thank you.
The high-end kitchen opens into the living room, dining room, and even an office nook. This makes entertaining super convenient for someone who has a hard time sitting still.
The bedroom is large and bright with plenty of closet space, as well as an ensuite bathroom with a massive closet and tons of counter space. Never underestimate the importance of bathroom counter space.
