YYC Hot Chocolate Fest is back in the city next month!

We don’t know about you, but we are more ready than ever to dive into the YYC Hot Chocolate Fest next month! Probably because we’re starting to see some ‘real’ Calgary winter weather. Yeah, we could really use some of what they’re pouring. Let’s check out what we can expect come February!

The YYC Hot Chocolate Fest, if you didn’t know, is a festival put on by Calgary Meals on Wheels. A portion of proceeds from every cup sold go towards supporting the organization and providing nutritious meals to Calgarians in need. Nice!

Well, that alone would sell us, even if it was just Tim Hortons participating. Fortunately, we can look forward to a lot more than that. While registration for this year closes tomorrow, last year saw a whopping 100+ participants!

At the end of the month, three awards will be given out to the winning features. Best Hot Chocolate and Best Spirited Hot Chocolate are pretty straightforward. However, the Cup That Runneth Over award goes to the biggest contribution to Meals on Wheels from a single business. This is so dang wholesome.
