Get your wild weekend going at the Calgary Roughnecks home opener
Alright, Calgary, we know Spring is a ways away, but just because the weather isn’t great doesn’t mean you should be getting your spirits down. Weekends are about to get wild again with the Roughnecks! The 2019 NLL Champions Home Opener is Saturday, Dec. 21 at 7:30 pm against the Colorado Mammoth. To start the season off right, they have a ton of activities and food and beverage specials. Plus, the first 3,000 fans through the door will receive a mini replica championship banner! Here’s a little guide to help you out with Home Opener night at the ‘Dome.
Pre-Game Banner Raising
To celebrate the 2019 NLL Cup victory and the beginning of a new season, the night will start off with the Championship banner raising to the rafters during the special pre-game ceremony.
Happy Hour
Their unreal ‘Dome happy hour happens from 6 pm right up until the game starts at 7:30 pm. During happy hour, you can hit up the concessions for $5 Rough House Specials. That includes 14-ounce Budweiser & Bud Light draught, 1-ounce highballs, 6-ounce glasses of house wine, cheeseburgers, pizza slices, and a pop & hot dog combo.
The Frontiers Halftime Show
Take a break from cheering and get ready to jiggy with the Roughnecks Got Talent winners, The Frontiers, who will be playing during halftime. This 5 man band is going to bring a mix of country, soul, and pop to keep the party going!
Post-Game Activities
Once the game has finished, fans are invited onto the field to meet players, take photos, and get
autographs! Keep the party going all night long and join your fellow Roughneck fans in the Club (located on the lower level of the Saddledome). Enjoy live music from New Soul Duo!
Rough House Reserved Tickets
The Roughnecks have some unreal deals to make your winter extra affordable and extra fun. For $21 ( plus fees and taxes) you’ll be able to take in the game in their Rough House Reserved sections located in 205-208. Tickets go on sale on sale at 10 am the Monday prior to each home game. For the Home Opener, tickets go on sale Dec. 16 at 10 am!
