The Rocket custom t-shirt shop closes both of its Calgary locations

Custom t-shirt business, The Rocket, has permanently closed down both of its Calgary locations.
The Vancouver based company opened its first YYC store in 1999, but as of December 10th, both locations had put up notices stating that they were now closed for good. The sudden announcement apologized for any inconvenience and thanked the public “for all the years.”
The store’s concept was an homage to fashion in the ’60s and ’70s. Customers could go in, pick an image out of a binder and have t-shirts and hats made right then and there.

The Rocket and their parent company Bang-On has been reluctant to give a reason for the closure, but one thing is for sure, this really puts a wrench in our Christmas gift plans. We guess we’ll just have to go elsewhere to get our face ironed on to a pillowcase. We’re positive our S.O. just wouldn’t want anything else.
