Calgary’s newest dessert spot is open late and serving some crazy creations

Don’t you hate it when you go for dinner somewhere, and you low-key just want like, three desserts, but you’re peer pressured by adulthood into getting real food instead. Lame, right? At The D-Spot Cafe they let you have your cake, eat it too and then they even encourage you to have a milkshake.

There’s literally only room for dessert at this cafe. The interior, the menu and all of the food on it are Willy Wonka levels of bright and colorful and they’re open until midnight from Sunday to Thursday; perfect for taking care of those late-night cravings.

Sporting Belgian waffles that are anything but Eggo, D-Spot lets you order one of their signature creations or go rogue and create your own. Fluffy and piled sky high, this breakfast alternative can be topped with your choice of ice cream, cookies, chocolate sauce and Nutella, fruit or marshmallows.

They’re definitely the center stone of the entire menu, and looking at them it’s easy to see why. They’re as aesthetically pleasing as they are delicious. What’s good, Instagram?

If you like to eat your dessert with a straw, they have an elaborate milkshake menu that brings all the boys to the yard. First of all, they’re freaking massive, but if that’s not enough to sell you, they have over twenty different flavors.

For the colder months, like, September in Calgary, they also have hot drinks! The Rolo latte and raspberry white hot chocolate sounds like it could put you into a sugar coma until the snow melts (not a bad thing at all).

All in all, it looks like the D-Spot is definitely worth checking out. Go on, satisfy that sweet tooth, Calgary!
