October is already one of our favourite months, so the fact that Calgary has a bunch of awesome concerts coming this month is just the cherry on top. From rap to rock, to country and EDM, we’re spoiled with a full calendar of great live music.
Here are 8 of our top picks for concerts to see in Calgary this October.

This rapper-singer-songwriter has been making waves over the past few years with a couple #1 albums and some mega-hit singles. Odds are he’ll only be getting more famous, so this is a good chance to see him without breaking the bank.

Lord Huron
This indie-folk group from LA gained some serious airplay with ‘The Night We Met’. Along with that tearjerker, they’ve got a discography full of songs that will make even the most independent men and women heartbroken outta nowhere.

Tegan and Sara
Did you know Tegan and Sara were born and raised in Calgary? Yup, the identical twin sisters behind jams like ‘Closer’ and ‘Feel It In My Bones’ are locals. Now it’s pretty hard to not hit this concert up, isn’t it?

Luke Combs
Luke Combs has had a couple of massive years on the country music scene and is bringing all of that rip-roaring, beer-guzzling, twang-banging energy to town this month. As we always love to say, The Stampede never really ends. Dust those boots off folks, it’s gonna be a good one.

Shinedown with Papa Roach
Headbang to jams you probably haven’t heard in a few years unless your workout playlists consist mainly of early 2000s alt-rock. Plus, Papa Roach will be playing. Need we say more?

Dallas Smith and Dean Brody
Two of Canada’s biggest country stars will be rolling through town to keep plenty of summer vibes rolling into autumn. They’ve also got Chad Brownlee and Mackenzie Porter playing along, so expect plenty of tunes all night long.

Monster Massive 2019 ft. Martin Garrix
Get into the Halloween spirit with some serious bangers at this one-night-only EDM extravaganza. Led by Martin Garrix, the lineup also includes Cosmic Gate, Julian Jordan, and more.

Walk Off The Earth
Another Canadian crew is coming through town to cap off the spooky month. The band who got famous from doing bizarre yet cool covers on YouTube has built a solid string of singles and albums over the last few years.
