Surf’s up, Calgary: Slam Festival is back with a splash!
Mark your calendars! Slam Festival is returning for the third year on August 9th & 10th. The Alberta River Surfing Association has partnered with Quiksilver and local associations to bring two jam-packed days of music, art, surf and skate, motorcycles, artisan vendors, food, beer and cannabis gardens and more!

All proceeds from this event will be going towards the development of the 10th Street Urban Surf Project in downtown Calgary. The development of this urban beach will establish Calgary as a surf destination and also result in substantial cultural, economic and environmental benefits for the city! Now that’s rad.
This festival has a Hawaiian flair and is mostly free to attend with only the River Float and Saturday’s Main Event requiring a ticket. The river float has you and the gang arriving at the festival in style– by floating in through the Bow River. The Main Event ticket gets you into a fenced area of the festival that contains some of the key activities like the Main Sage, MarketspotYYC, art gallery, merch booths, food vendors, and a licensed bar. We definitely recommend scooping up your tickets for these ASAP!

Last but not least, a festival wouldn’t be complete without some delicious food! Slam Fest is bringing Zilford’s Fried Chicken, Soul Kitchen BBQ and Madisons 1212 to fill the stomachs of all the riders and cheerers.
