Feeding YYC starts ‘Buy One Give One’ campaign to support families & businesses

Feeding YYC, a Calgary campaign that was launched in hopes of helping Calgarians in need, has announced their 2020 ‘buy one give one’ initiative. In addition to families struggling during the COVID-19 outbreak, this project will also aim to support local businesses.
By ordering from any Feeding YYC partner restaurant, between May 4th and 17th, foodies will also be giving a meal to someone who has been left vulnerable in the midst of the pandemic.

Participating restaurants include The Embarcadero, Foreign Concept, and MARKET. As well as, Maruju Sushi, Murrieta’s, Pure Kitchen and Bar and Roy’s Korean Kitchen. Man, it’s going to be a tasty couple of weeks.
“We want to show people that caring is so much more contagious than any virus can be,” said Eric Yeung, Founder at Feeding YYC in a press release. “With the help of a small team of volunteers and generous Calgarians, we are working to uncover creative and innovative ways to unite people in support of local restaurants and those Calgary families in need.”
The program is hoping to feed at least 200 families through Brown Bagging For Calgary’s Kids, Inn From The Cold, Centre for Newcomers and Made By Momma, which we think is definitely doable!
